Sunway REIT move to raise capital to go on an acquisition streak is commendable but upon further analysis, this could be a move which distances REIT manager interest from the interest of shareholders.

MREIT Mar 2019 News
KIP REIT, with its current price (as of mid Mar 2019) could provide you with 8%+ yield going forward, with a proposed new asset acquisition which is now being finalized in its final stage.
I could have informed you earlier on this but I’ve encountered past incidents whereby the proposed new property purchase does not go thru after the news broke (CMMT & Tropicana City Mall acquisition deal being called off in 2013 initially, although the second negotiation went thru).
Only when a circular being issued by a REIT Manager (like what I’m sharing with you in this video lesson), we should treat it as high probability the deal will go thru because it is already in its final stage.
On top of that, KIP Groups is building new malls, to be injected into the REIT when they reach a yield-accretive stage. That’s huge growth potential right there.

You know what transpired for the month of Oct – Nov, yes?
Many stocks have dropped to the extent that their dividend yield easily surpass what REITs can provide.
Also, you may come across news or article which highlight non-REIT stocks in the share market that gives exceptionally high yield, circa 9 to 12%!
When you do encounter such stocks, should you dump REIT stocks and shift your portfolio to these high-dividend yield stocks?
Watch below.

Updates so far: Pavilion REIT, Sunway REIT, IGB REIT, Capital Malls Malaysia, Atrium REIT and a new Airport REIT?

Note: With this, I’ll buy Atrium REIT rather than CMMT

Note: IGBREIT still a top option

Note: I’ll avoid CMMT for now

Note: the newspiece below is non-REIT related but it is good to show you how easy or difficult it is to get 6% return in the current environment.
So if you are able to get 6% or more from REIT dividends, you are already way above average.
